Wedding Invitations, Guest Favors and Thank You Notes are an important part of any wedding, as they set the tone for the big day and provide a way for the happy couple to thank their guests for attending. With the rise of technology and social media, there are a number of new trends emerging in the world of wedding invitations, guest favors and Thank you cards.

One of the biggest trends in wedding invitations is the use of Digital Invitations. With the advent of online platforms like Paperless Post (Charge USD, they're are some free invites and flyers = free events up to 50 emails, and premium options with packages by buying Coins = virtual money) Event Create (Charge USD, around $40 CAD for a 1 time use, but offer monthly options if you have the use of it for other events) and Greenvelope (Starting at $19.00 USD, it has 4 pricing editions. A free trial is also available. It has some nice Indian Design), it has become easier than ever to create and send digital invitations. These online platforms offer a wide variety of customizable templates that can be personalized with the couple's names and wedding details, and they can be sent out via email or text message. It also can be used as RSVP, an easy way to keep track of who will attend and who did not respond yet. Digital invitations are a great option for couples who want to save money on postage and printing, and they are also more environmentally friendly.

A new wave that is gaining popularity is the use of Video Invitations. Couples are using platforms like Animoto (Free option, basic plan starting at $16.00 USD, cool templates to use) and Magisto (Download app = AI based video creation and editing platform. It has 3 paid options) short videos that showcase their love story and give guests a sneak peek of what to expect at the wedding. These videos can be shared on social media or sent via email, and they provide a unique and personalized way for couples to invite their guests.

Same with the Guestbook. Instead of doing the traditional book where you'll leave a note or doing a photo album guestbook with Polaroid. You could choose for instance, to get Celebrate.buzz and get your guests create a video guestbook, by scanning a QR code and record a video message for you, right from their own phone!

When it comes to Guest Favors, couples are opting for unique and meaningful gifts that their guests can take home and use. One popular trend is the use of "green" favors, such as seed packets or potted plants, that guests can take home and plant in their own gardens. And also, the use of personalized favors, such as custom-made candles or soaps, that are made with the couple's names and wedding date.

Another trend is the use of DIY favors. Couples are opting for DIY projects such as creating homemade jams, cookies or even homemade candles. This gives a personal touch to the guests and they can also take it as a memorable token of the wedding.

I always suggest my couples to opt for something that you know your guests will take back home with them, use it or eat it. We just want to make sure it is not a waste.

Wedding is over and it's time to say "Thank you". If you don't want to send a regular Thank You card and would like to explore other options; you could instead mail a bag of sweets, box of cookies as a way of saying Thank you! As it can be an extra expense, consider doing this if you had a small intimate wedding, or for those who went the extra mile to assist you with your wedding.

You could also mail some great shots of your guests, once you got back your wedding photos, along with a sweet note.

A friend got married and chose to print a "Thank You Newspaper". We all loved receiving this newspaper and for sure we will keep it! Very unique and so different, it is perfect to express your gratitude to guests for attending your wedding and Celebrating it with you. It's a personalized and memorable keepsake that will remind your guests of the happy moments they shared with you that day. Designed to look like a real newspaper, with articles, photos and headlines that highlight the best moments. It will also include photos of the couple, wedding party, ceremony and reception ... In addition to that you can add stories about the day and people of your wedding day.

For example = How you and your partner met, a feature about the wedding location without forgetting a special Thank You message to your guests, expressing appreciation for their presence and support. You can find many online templates and tools that can make the process easier or work with a professional designer to create a custom design that fits your specific needs and preferences.

Check online = Zazzle, Mixbook, Canva, Paperless Post.

It's always a good idea to compare different options and read reviews before choosing a service that ensures that you find the one that best fits your needs and budget.

If you worked with a videographer, check with them the cost of a 2-3 minute highlight reel of the day. This can be sent as part of a Thank you email, and make guests feel excited and reminiscent of your big day.

In conclusion, technology and social media are playing a big role in shaping the new trends in wedding invitations, guest favors and Thank you notes. Couples are opting for digital and video invitations, eco-friendly and personalized favors, and also DIY projects to give a personal touch to their guests.

No matter what the trend is, what matters most is that your wedding invitation, guest favors and Thank You Cards should reflect your personal style and give your guests a memorable experience.
